B. Minkewicz, LPCC

She/They

Clinical Therapist

Hi!

I’m Bailey, better known as B. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Ohio, currently serving the community at Rise Counseling Group. Our team specializes in reducing anxiety and depression among African American women and other Women of Color. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Education in Counseling from Youngstown State University. I’m currently pursuing my doctoral studies in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University.

My clinical and research efforts are dedicated to providing affirming care for underserved populations, especially the LGBTQI+, dissociative, and neurodiverse communities. As a certified trauma professional, I bring a comprehensive and empathetic approach to therapy, striving to meet the unique needs of each client.

Over my career, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, from youth to older adults, in both community and private agency settings. My approach is eclectic, always tailored to the individual’s needs, and includes outpatient services and support for college-based populations.

I am passionate about continuing my work at Rise Counseling Group, focusing on marginalized communities. My areas of specialization include supporting sexual, affectional, romantic, and gender-expansive populations—such as queer, trans, those in polya relationships, and those engaged in kink dynamics. I also have a special focus on dissociative disorders, particularly dissociative identity disorder, as well as trauma, attachment, relationship concerns, and neurodiversity.

I see clients online  Monday- Wednesday from 10 am to 7 pm,  and Fridays from 10 am to 2pm.

May 17, 2025 By De'Asia Thompson

For too long, therapy has felt like a foreign concept—something “other people” do. But for Black women especially, therapy has historically been positioned as not for us. This needs to change. This is the first in a multi-part series exploring why therapy feels unfamiliar and why we need it now more than ever. Therapy is […]
