Samuel E. Kisner Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio. He is currently a therapist with Rise Counseling Group, which specializes in reducing anxiety and depression among African American women and other Women of Color. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and holds two Masters of Science Degrees form Capella University, one focusing on Psychology and the other in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Samuel is a passionate, ambitious, ethical professional with communication proficiency and the required experience to successfully work with a diverse clientele base. Samuel believes that his professional background coupled with his personal life experiences makes him a very well rounded licensed professional counselor. Samuel’s areas of focus are anxiety, depression, anger management, stress reduction, and self-care application. Samuel utilizes clinical counseling principles, methods, and procedures to assist clients in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, career development and adjustment. Samuel’s goals are to assist clients with processing and coping with cognitive behavioral distortions and discrepancies, with the aim to assist clients in becoming more self-aware at the same time encompassing the entire human experience.
