Psychological Assessments for Immigration Cases
At Rise Counseling Group, our team of independently licensed clinicians is dedicated to providing comprehensive psychological assessments essential for immigration proceedings. We conduct in-depth evaluations tailored to the specific needs of each client, helping to determine their eligibility to lawfully remain in the United States. Our assessments involve detailed interviews, the use of various diagnostic tools, and consultations with other individuals familiar with the client’s case, ensuring a thorough and informative evaluation. All our evaluation sessions are confidential and conducted with the utmost professionalism.
Types of Evaluations We Provide:
- Extreme Hardship Cases: Assess the severe impacts that deportation could have on the individual and their family.
- Spousal Abuse (VAWA) Cases: Evaluate the psychological effects of domestic violence within the context of immigration.
- Political Asylum Cases: Detail the mental health consequences of persecution and the need for asylum.
- U Visa Cases: Document the psychological aftermath of criminal activity affecting non-citizens.
- T Visa Cases: Explore the psychological impact of human trafficking on victims seeking to remain in the U.S.
- Cancellation of Removal Cases: Support clients facing deportation with evidence of undue hardship to themselves or family, emphasizing the significant, lasting effects on the individual’s mental and emotional well-being.
Evaluation Process and Timeline:
Our evaluations range from 10-20+ pages, providing crucial information tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. The typical timeframe for completing an evaluation and report is 14-21 days, with expedited services available for urgent needs. Evaluations can be conducted in our office or via a HIPAA-compliant video chat platform, with sessions available in English. Other languages require an interpreter provided by the client.
Fees & Payment Policies:
- In-depth Psychosocial Evaluations: Base fee of $950
- Initial installment of $475 due to schedule appointment; remaining $475 due to release initial draft of report
- Includes two 3-4 hour evaluation sessions
- Gathering of collateral information
- Detailed personal interview
- Comprehensive report with history, assessment scores, diagnosis, and recommendations
- Mental health support referrals as needed
- Evaluations conducted online or in person
Expedited Service: An additional $250 on top of the base fee for urgent evaluations.
Cancellation and Late Arrival Policies:
- 48-hour cancellation policy applies. A fee of $150 is charged for cancellations or rescheduling within 48 hours. No-shows or late arrivals (15 mins or more) will incur a $250 fee.
Payment Types Accepted:
- Credit cards, cashier’s checks, and cash. HSAs may be accepted for evaluation services. A current and active credit card must be kept on file, with charges applied only after obtaining proper consent.
