Arianna ‘Ari’ Palmer, LSW

She/Her
LSW, Licensed Social Worker

I am Ari Palmer, a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Ohio. I have been licensed since 2017 after graduating from The Ohio State University with my Bachelors in Social Work. I am a proud Columbus native (Go Bucks!!), but recently relocated to the Dayton area!

I have worked in the behavioral health field for almost 8 years and have loved every second. I have spent most of that time working with adolescents in different settings such as residential treatment facilities, homeless shelters, and schools. I have assisted in building multiple programs in the state of Ohio and love to think of myself as a lifelong learner.

I specialize in mental health treatment- utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy. I have a passion for working with adolescents and young adults and love to assist in decreasing stress, increasing confidence, and normalizing the conversations surrounding mental health. I believe that every single person has their own unique path and it is my goal to be a safe place for black women and teens while they are on that path.

In my spare time I love to hang out with my two cats, listen to music, attend concerts, watch women’s basketball, and play board/card games! I am also a proud Aunt of 6.

This is the first in a multi-part series exploring why therapy feels unfamiliar and why we need it now more than ever. Therapy is […]
