Chrishonna Reaves, SWT

MSW Intern

She/her
MSW Student | Practicum Intern

Hey heyyy!

I’m Chrishonna, but everyone calls me Chriss. I’m a Master of Social Work student completing my generalist field practicum at Rise Counseling Group in Dayton, Ohio. I bring over six years of experience working in behavioral health settings, including residential treatment and psychiatric inpatient care with children, adolescents, and families.

My passion for social work is rooted in showing up for people with empathy, authenticity, and compassion, especially during vulnerable or transitional moments in their lives. I am particularly interested in supporting youth, young adults, and families through a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens, while creating spaces where clients feel seen, respected, and supported.

As a practicum student, I am focused on learning, growing, and supporting clients alongside the Rise team while continuing to develop my professional skills. I value building genuine connections and meeting people where they are, always honoring lived experiences and resilience.

I’m grateful to be part of the Rise Counseling Group community and excited to continue learning within a practice that centers care, culture, and connection.

I can be seen in the office or online on Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30-4:30 pm for Case Management Services. I am also a group facilitator.
