Melody is a licensed social worker in the State of Ohio. Melody received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from Morgan State University located in her hometown, Baltimore, MD. During her time at Morgan State, Melody completed social work internships with the Baltimore City Public School system and a transitional housing facility for homeless youth in the Baltimore area.
Post grad, she has been residing in Cleveland, OH for the last three years and has developed a passion for serving the needs of Ohio residents. Melody has therapeutic experience working with various mental health organizations in and around the Cleveland area.
Melody has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in various settings. Melody has a strong commitment to social justice and serving the needs of women of color. Melody specializes in helping adults and teens struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, life transitions, women’s issues, and a variety of other concerns.
Melody is passionate about mindfulness and self-care and provides therapeutic services such as, but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and motivational interviewing. Melody focuses on a person-centered approach and strives to provide a non-judgmental space to empower and motivate clients throughout the therapeutic process.
In her free time Melody enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, reading, and spending time with her husband.
