Clinical Therapist
Kelly is a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at Wright State University. She graduated with a Master of Social Work through Wright State University / Miami University with a concentration in children & families. Kelly began her career working with homeless adolescents at a local area Dayton shelter. Kelly has provided therapeutic services to students at a local college campus for the last two years. She created and facilitated the university’s first LGBTQ+ student run organization. Kelly is an adjunct professor at Central State University.
Kelly has experience in treating clients experiencing, anxiety, depression, life transitions, mood disorders, PTSD, and substance use disorders and more. Kelly is passionate about supporting clients in their pursuit of healing from trauma. She is trained in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness training and EMDR.
Kelly is passionate about the people in her adopted hometown of Dayton. She works to affirm the intersectionality of her clients. Kelly is passionate about practicing cultural humility, and advocates for marginalized populations impacted daily by social injustices. Kelly is under the supervision of De’Asia L. Thompson, LISW-S.
In her spare time Kelly enjoys yoga/strength training and spending time with her grandkids and puppy.
