Music Therapist – Board Certified
Are you looking or needing to grow, change, and access greater wellness in your life? While pain, conflict, and trauma can leave us depleted and feeling isolated, music therapy is a space to foster creativity, empowerment, and connection. My music therapy practice is person-centered and resource-oriented, meaning I believe you have capacities for growth, recovery, and change that, when accessed, claimed, and activated, support your health and wellbeing. I believe in a culture-responsive and gender-responsive approach to therapy, embracing the wholeness of personhood and perspective you carry into therapy.
I am a board-certified music therapist with advanced training in trauma and addictions recovery treatment as well as several years of experience working with adolescents and adults toward improved mental health. I believe strongly in the power of music engagement to support health of body, mind, and spirit.
Music is the medium for growth in music therapy, and all are welcome — there is no need for musical expertise or prior training! Rise Counseling Group is currently accepting clients for a women’s music therapy group. Take the leap, and explore how music therapy can support your journey toward greater health and wholeness.
